Uncontrolled drinking is dangerous to patrons. If Pechanga doesn't respond to request for information, they obviously, they are hiding what the issue was.
"Alcohol related problems" Could mean anything. Were they:
1. Selling watered down drinks and were caught?
2. Selling alcohol that wasn't taxed?
3. Serving minors?
4. Serving drunks?
5. Overcharging for drinks?
6. Creating fight clubs for drunken patrons?
We the people should know what Pechanga allowed in their casino, and until we do learn the truth, we should not patronize a business like that. And it looks like the 3,000 people a night that Silk had, will go elsewhere already. That should reduce some traffic and make it safer for the citizens of Riverside county.

The Pechanga Resort & Casino has closed two nightclubs because of alcohol-related problems.
The Eagle's Nest and the Silk club, a popular attraction that featured go-go dancers, were shut down last week because of unspecified alcohol issues.
"Tribal leaders have determined that an unacceptable number of incidents involving alcohol consumption have occurred at Pechanga Resort & Casino," said Amy Minniear, president of the Pechanga Development Corp., in a statement. "We are deeply troubled by these incidents and are taking numerous and decisive actions to prevent them from occurring in the future."
Pechanga did not reply to requests for details on whether the incidents involved fights, underage drinking or other problems. The tribe also did not say what it will do with those rooms while the clubs are closed or how long they will be closed.

I SUSPECT REASONS 1,2,3,4,5 AND 6 WHEN YOU CONSIDER PECHANGA'S REPUTATION FOR LYING AND DISMISSING THE TRUTH WHENEVER POSSIBLE. THEY PROBABLY WHERE CAUGHT DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL, AND SINCE THEY NEVER TELL THE TRUTH ,THE PUBLIC WILL NEVER NOW THE REAL REASONS BEHIND THE CLOSING OF THE NIGHTCLUBS. AH YES, PECHANGA "THE REAL STORY CCONTINUES".
Glad you are back! The fight to clear the family(HUNTER) name will never stop!!!Original Pechanga's for sure, the HUNTER'S are.
I suspect in was none of the above, but from what I have heard in the past. They were having trouble with tribal members becoming unruly and throwing there weight around saying that they could do ANYTHING as they were tribal members. It was hard for employies to do anything to stop them, and couldnt throw them out like they could non tribal drunks. I know for a fact that they were having that problem in Silk in the past, and it would not surprise me if it continued on to this very day.
I do NOT know if this was the current reason or problem, but given the responce of those members who they were having problems with (them laughing and making lite of it), I would not be surprised if they closed it down to keep a lid on the bad pub that it was causing.
Thanks for coming back, OP!!!! I have missed you!!!! The closing of Silk & Eagles Nest probably have something to do with all of the reasons posted. The public will never know because it is none of the concern of the white man.
When a member of the Hunter family was on the Pechanga development corporation the Hunter family member went up to a member of the CPP and asked that this person's family members quit causing trouble at the bars at Pechanga.
The CPP member responded that they didn't have to do what he said and "just wait until you are kicked out of the tribe then you will have no say so as to what goes on at Pechanga."
That certain tribal members were causing problems at the bars has been going on for a long time.
I also heard that serving minors was also a problem.
If this happened in Nevada or in New Jersey at non Indian gaming establishments the authorities would threaten closing the whole casino.
But this can't happen at Indian casinos where the Fox is guarding the Henhouse!
If slots bring in more money than booze, perhaps they needed the room for slots... Afterall, they can still charge for drinks while someone is feeding the slot!
Pechanga changed the age of their patrons from 18 to 21 because they wanted to serve alcohol without restrictions. Failure to enforce the laws that keep their patrons safe, has now led to a reduced customer base.
Will they change their age to 18?
f pechanga you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pechanga is the one thing that we have been looking to see from a while and it is the obvious thing. These types of moments are meant to be for the enjoyment we are looking for.
