Pechanga Tribe on Banishment: Child Abuser: OKAY Sage Picker: NO WAY

It's amazing what Pechanga chooses to BANISH tribal descendents for. It's WELL KNOWN that they have a child molestor in their midst as well as many of the Masiel Crime family with violent offenses that bring police to the reservation.

And AMAZINGLY, they banish members of the Tosobol family, which HAS LAND ON THE RESERVATION and BLOOD RELATIVES living there for: wait for it...

PICKING SAGE!
Those dastardly villains who come onto the reservation, TELLING the security guards WHAT THEY are doing there, then get detained, searched and now face LIFE EXCLUSION for merely being on the land they OWN?
Ask yourselves, readers, WHAT is the larger crime, child molestation or sage picking? Destruction of a childhood or a plant that grows in abudance? What is the Pechanga Tribal Rangers definition of UNDESIRABLE? Please check the links above

WOW!OP you are on a roll kudos for reveiling the true criminals, say President Obama when are you going to do something about these injustices? do you SIR recall the civil rights movement and what your peoples did to stand up to their oppressers, would you expect any less from indigenous rights, you have the power for the change that is needed STOP THIS CORRUPTION ,pass new laws to help native americans save their people

I think there was more to it OP. I think they were in violation of fighting fo their rights to belong.

The tribe and even their blood relatives, the VASQUEZ family are fighting to keep them our, or more truly, not fighting to get them in.

Word is that their OWN relatives called the Tribal Rangers in to handle the obviously dangerous Tosobol Clan.

The tribe and relitives have kept the land and tosobols from trying to claim any Heritage ,cultural lands for many many years telling them to be patient ALL LIES ,and vasquez cousins trying to buy the allotments were refused THEN the wife called Rangers and banishment exclusion for wanting to burn sage and pray for their dream of return to homeland and rightful heritage you will find Tosobol a FIERCE WARRIOR

this is great Mr Allen but the united states does not enforce these rights the tribes claiming soverign immunity but this will go to the UN

Do you know who is one of the tribal rangers? None other than registered sex offender Ronald Rivera who is profiled on the Megan's Law Web site.

How this man, who could not get a job in any other security or law enforcement agency, could get a job with the reservation's internal security is beyond me.

So not only are the Tosabols banished from the land, one of the people who could recommend whether they can come back or not is Rivera.

But as another poster has said, the Tosabols probably were banished for not just going to their land but for standing up for their rights.

So you can be, as O.P. points out, a registered sex offender such as Rivera and Vince Ibanez and you won't be banished but you can also be in place of authority and recommend people like the Tosabols be banished for going onto their own land and picking sage.

One more thing, our opponents in the tribe use inuendo and hearsay against us who have been disenroled or kept out via an illegal moratorium but we state facts.

Just go to Megan's law and put in Ronald Rivera and Vincent Ibanez then ask yourselves why haven't these individuals been banished when others have been for far less than they have done.

In Africa, the term indigenous applies to the majority population, since colonial settlers do not consist of the majority population, unlike North America, so the term indigenous is more synonymous to the political definition of a tribal rather than a state.
It is the states overbearing influesnce on tribes that the Declaration tries to balance, so I am of the opinion that it would not be wise to expect the state (U.S.) to enforce the ideas of indigenous rights with-in the indigenous collective.
I think it better that the tribes embrace the principles as sovereigns and agree to adhere to them for the sake of the tribal individual and the tribe as a people.
Both NCAI and the Navajo Nation have backed the Declaration of Right for Indigenous Peoples. Groups such as these could do a lot more to facilitate individual indigenous rights than say a state's enforcement law in an internal tribal violation. However, as I have said before, The state should in no way condone, be complicit in, or facilitate a known Human Rights violation committed by an indigenous collective or individual. as long as the U.S. as a state, exercises federal jurisdiction over indigenous peoples with-in their boundaries, they are complicit in the violations if they know of them and deliberately take no action. That's just my opinion.

"NCAI endorses UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples
Story Updated: Nov 17, 2008

The resolution acknowledges that the declaration expresses both the individual and collective rights of indigenous peoples, as well as their rights regarding culture, identity, language, employment, health, educational and other issues....Tribes must work harder than ever to pressure the U.S. to respect these rights.”

So how are the Tosobols related to the Vasquezs? Is their original ancestor the same?

How many times do all three families, the Tosobol, the Apish, the Hunter explain themselves and their lineage to all of you on this blog?
Really, do some reading on this blog, it's out there, granted it takes a little looking, just do it please.
Even if you are new to this blog, read some of the articles that are wriiten here, they explain all.
I read some things over and over just to keep informed, why can't you.

To "stand your ground", I did some reading and I didn't see anything that said how the 2 familes are related only that they are cousins. So if anyone knows please let me know I'm just interested. I was able to find a lot of information about the Tosobol family on here, I just don't know where the Vasquez family connects.

The Tosobols should explain their bloodlines, their relatives who are in the tribe.

And then as our cousin Aamokat does, repeat it OVER AND OVER, for the newest readers.

one of the reasons I post some of the same information is that a smart alek critic from the tribe posts hearsay against my family and then runs away.

Yes, the Tosabol clan are true legitimate members of the tribe no doubt about it.

It is a shame their relatives the Munoas and the Vasquez don't stand up for them enough as those families were also targets for disenrollment by the CPP and may still be in their radar if the CPP has anything to say about it.

And although they did give us their support in our disenrollment fight they and most others have not done much since to right the wrongs.

the manoas in the tribe are afraid to speak up also the almighty dollar has a heck of alot to do with it! the vasquez just want the land! i dont know what for the land they have now is a pigsty!

Thanks for your post Mike. I was mainly just asking how the Vasquez family was connected to your family, not the specific of your family, because as you mentioned you had already posted that. I am very slowly trying to create a giant master family tree for the entire tribe which includes both people who are enrolled and not enrolled the tribe. I really enjoy the overall history of where we all come from and I think having this can help prove who belongs. Most of our families have connections either through blood or marriage, which to me proves that families were living in the same area in Temecula at that time. I doubt too many tribes married outside of their own tribe back in the 1700 and 1800s due to language barriers, tribal fighting and lack of ability to travel great distances.

I know this post is old. I'm just wondering how the "giant master family tree" is coming along? Is it completed?

This is a excellent matter to talk about. Thank you for creating this blog. I'm sure there are a lot searching for this kind of conversation.
