Breaking News: AG Holder's Tribal Nations Leadership Council has Nominees from Tribes That Have CRUSHED the Civil Rights of Members!

In a developing story, we just got information that the Department of Justice Office of Tribal Justice solicited tribal nominations from each BIA region for members to the Tribal Nations Leadership Council. The TNLC will meet with the U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and his senior staff to provide consultation on tribal justice issues.

Nominees made by Pechanga, Redding Rancheria and others included Chairwoman Glenda Nelson of the Enterprise and Jack Potter Jr from Redding Rancheria.

Concerns or support regarding the TNLC representatives should be made to Tracy Toulou (Tracy.Toulou2@usdoj.gov) and Gaye Tenoso (Gaye.Tenoso2@usdoj.gov) These two members of tribal councils that have crushed the civil and human rights of their people SHOULD NOT have the honor of sitting in meetings with the Attorney General. Certainly there are better choices in California's Indian Country. And Pechanga shouldn't be able to nominate ANYONE.

And are these two REALLY who should represent California's Indian Country?

Stay TUNED

Isn't that like having a child molestor babysit?

Or having a rapist, be a massage therapist at a girls school?

Why in the world would the Dept. of Justice (whose responsibility it is to protect civil rights) ask from the tribes who violate the rights and liberties of their members to make a recommendation to the Leadership Council. Can you imagine the type of leadership that will emerge? Is this what we want to teach our young? Reward those who hurt their own people...It never ceases to amaze me why the people in power do things like this. No wonder citizens are looking at replacing everyone in office. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Maybe they were thinking, "it takes one to know one?"

The current administration does not log onto this site to view your issues, you are small fry. There are other pressing issues out there for the Obama Admin. to address, like a war, economy, etc. To get attention you must grab it, it won't come to you. Too many people have suggested to y'all to go to DC and picket, get on the docket, go before congress and yell to the world what is happening to you. Your letters are too easily files and ignored! There is nothing like going to the source and demanding to be heard...oh yeah, your job, you can't, you won't, and all the other excuses. So handle the cards you've been dealt cuz you are not going to get vigilant so you will continue to be ignored.

And quite a few people from out of state checks us too, like Wichita Kansas.

We have been before Congress, spoken to state officials, US. Representatives.

We actually got Presidential Candidates to speak out against disenrollments TO tribal leaders.

We could have more help, so thanks for coming to the site, tell your friends!

I guess small-fry doesn't mean the right people aren't looking. Just not enough looking?

So the Department of Justice is curious about Fletcher?

Its not small fry and it is growing into big peanuts. We knew this was not going to be done overnight. What is currently going on is several different fronts all at the same time, and the momentum is gaining. Stay tuned, I'm sure you will be plesantly surprised!

The mustard tree grows from the smallest seed. Such are movements and blogs.

We are responsible for building our own voice and volume, by providing a location for people who are interested and affected by corrupt tribal councils.

We can continue to grow, if readers will tell their friends about this site.

HA HA HA! "other pressing issues out there for the Obama Admin. to address, like a war, economy, etc."

Are you serious, Phil! Man, what rock have you been under - lmfao!

Fletcher was an inept leader in Riverside. There are questions as to how he handled Pechanga, San Pascual and Duroville.

Sen. Boxer as well as Rep. Bono Mack are concerned.

Mr. Holder, vetting your council would be a good start in getting this right.

Having representation from Native Americans who are without tribal affiliations from the West is also needed.
