Thank you to our readers for helping us spread the word on corruption and disenrollment issues in Indian Country. According to the site Master's In Counseling, Original Pechanga's Blog is ranked 31 of the top 50 Native American Blogs.
Over the past three years, we have tried to shine a light on the corruption in Indian Country. We still need help in spreading the word and helping Washington DC understand what some tribal councils like those of Pechanga, Redding, Picayune are doing to their bretheren.
Congratulations for breaking through. You've done a lot to keep the spotlight on the roaches who occupy tribal councils in California.
ReplyDeleteWay to go OP. Keep on exposing the coruption of Mark Macaro & His Henchmen and someday Justice WILL COME!
ReplyDeleteHopefully, this light will guide to new Congress to do what is right and begin the oversight of tribes who violate the spirit of the Indian Civil Rights Act.
ReplyDeleteIt won't happen unless those who have been wronged by their tribes stand together.

ReplyDeletecreeper said it best, you did well.
Congratulations this is great news, thank you for spreading the word of what's really going on in Indian Country.
ReplyDelete"If it were not for hopes, the heart would break." Thomas Fuller. We are very very far from being there, and yet I still have hope that one day our tribes will be healthy and strong with an abundance of hope!! I know that many tribal governments hold disenrollments and banishments as a weapon over their people.....my own tribe has been governing this way for many decades behind our backs and most recently very publicly when they illegally banished 9 of us. We have to take this weapon away.......it tries to destroy our hopes!
ReplyDeleteWith a hopeful heart........Snoqualmie9
P.S. Please don't forgot our tribes across the nation.....we have corruption in every corner of the United States - they do not just sit in the tribal council chambers in California! Tribal governments who banish and disenroll their citizens dishonor the sovereignty of our nations. They dishonor the intent of the Indian Civil Rights Act. They dishonor the Ancestors. They dishonor all our people.
ReplyDeletePechanga Council has dishonored its Temecula ancestors. They've dishonored their veterans. They've kept rightful Pechanga people from their place in the tribe.
ReplyDeleteTell me again why more people aren't telling the stories so that word gets out?
We work to spread the word on all corruption not just the gross misconduct of the Pechanga tribal council and actions of Butch Murphy and Mark Macarro.
