Indian Tribes Betting BIG on Jerry Brown to RAISE OUR TAXES. How about they pay their "fair share"? Those living on the Reservation pay NO STATE TAXES.

Remember when the tribes tried to keep Californians from voting?

Now, many tribes are behind Jerry Brown's plan to RAISE OUR TAXES. It's not enough that so many are out of work, or that many of the tribes have take our per capita from us to the tune of $500 billion.

KNBC has the story:

Gov. Jerry Brown's campaign workers have been on the streets less than a week, gathering signatures to qualify his temporary tax proposal for the November ballot.

But already, it's apparent that some California gaming tribes are placing a big bet on Brown's plans.

They are among a handful of deep-pocket donors that, collectively, have contributed more than $1.4 million to the governor's ballot committee in recent weeks.

Data available on-line from Secretary of State Debra Bowen show that, at this early stage, the tribes are kicking in some serious cash.

The list of large contributors includes the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, who kicked in $100,000. The San Pablo Band also contributed $100,000.

The Morongo Band of Indians, which operates a big casino near Palm Springs, wrote a check for $25,000. And the California Tribal Business Alliance, which represents several tribes that operate casinos, gave $75,000.

Fucking hypocrites!!...they shouldn't even be allowed to contribute since they pay no State Tax on their fat per capita checks....and many claim they live on the reservation and really don't to get the exemption...how many fancy cars have been bought by these tribal members without State tax involved?...bunch of b.s.

That comment was, at best, "Intense," but "Accurate!"..."Corruption Is, What Corruption Does.

Sorry Smokey...but if more people had that reaction...maybe your tribe would be made to do the right thing...everyone is way too passive!

everyone is way too passive!

AND WHAT TRIBE ARE YOU FROM?

If we are way to "Passive," then what, or should I say: "How should we react to these "Criminals?" Have you got some "Specifics?" Are you saying that we aren't doing something that we "Should be doing?" If so, "I'm all Ears!" Are you "Subscribing" to the possibility of something of a "Physical Nature?" And if so,..."WHAT?"

"Oh, been there done that." Our "Plight" obviouly is "Not News Worthy." My take on all this, from the different news agencys, is that it takes about 4 months to put together a piece that would be worthy of an "Investagative Report" like "Channel 4 News" did. And it all boils down to how much "Money and Time" they are willing to "Invest."..."Channel 4 News" did a great job, but no one seems to want to follow up. That, in essence, is the "Nature of the Beast." So it's not about "Not Trying." You have got to know that "Channel 4 News" took a lot of "Heat" for telling our story. So will they follow up? It doesn't look like they will anytime soon.

The commenter is right about being to passive.

Passive means that not all who were affected are doing their "part" in keeping the issue alive.

Just as there were a few who worked hard to fight our disenrollment, there are now only a few who are fighting to get our status back, and to get those who were cheated out of their place in the sun, back.

We have a few avenues that draw attention, one being this site, another being tribalcorruption.com. Our sites should be visited often, to raise our status on internet ranking sites. It's simple, visit often during the day, and check a few pages each time, an easy way to do it is to simply click on the pictures at the right >>>. PECHANGA thinks we are important enough to keep an eye on us. They check us 10-20 times per day. If all who were affected by Pechanga would do the same, this blog's ranking would explode. Another way is to GOOGLE, BING or YAHOO: PEchanga tribal disenrollment, Pechanga Per Capita, Despicable Chukchansi or Snoqualmie Shadow Government, that will have the effect of moving those issues up on the first few pages of those search sites.

We also share our space with those other Indian people in California that were harmed by their tribes: Redding,Chukchansi, San Pascual, Pala, Enterprise to name a few and out of state tribes like Snoqualmie and the Cherokee Freedmen (freedmen5tribes.com).

How to make us newsworthy, keep commenting on stories linked here, on newspapers linked here, with references to this site, to bring their readers here. The more comments on tribal corruption stories, the more stories.

Also, there are links to Without A Tribe on KNBC's site, REVISIT that site daily, so that their webmaster will notice the increased traffic.

Coming to a rally is one thing, which is good. Helping daily by doing the above is another good example. This isn't rocket science, we must grow our followers and we need all hands on deck to do that.

ARE YOUR KIDS involved? Is your SISTER involved? Your Cousin? Have you shared our site on FB today or last week, or was it just a month or so ago? This fight of ours is a continuing battle.

Be aware that the BIA checks our page multiple times a week, they KNOW there is information here. Help others to find it, share us, email our website address, and also MySpace for those who still use that..

You don't have to walk up a hill in the snow, both ways to help...simply come here..often

Pala unjustly disenrolled 8 members on June 1, 2011. Pala belongs to CTBA and contributed to Gov. Brown's tax proposal. He must be told that he is accepting "blood money" from corrupt dictators who have cut the hearts and souls out of their own People in broad daylight and in America. So what about the UN Indigenous Declaration of Rights... not worth the paper it is written on so long as the "Pala 8" remain disenrolled. Where are ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, Indian Law Resource Center, NARF and all the rest of the self-professed civil rights advocate types? I don't see them expressing anything about the cruel and unusual punishment done on the Pala 8 by the Smith regime.

"You Tube" is also carrying "Without A Tribe." Check it out. I know, because I posted it. 500 views to date. O.P. is right, we need to get our people more involved. Don't think that the "Tribal Leaders" have "Won," the haven't. They may have the "Upper Hand" for now, but "History" has shown that this could change at anytime. Those that engage in "Corruption" will eventually get "Caught!" That is the "Nature of the Beast." So giving up is "Not an Option!" So we all need to "Stay On Course, And The Task At Hand."
