The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has elected a new tribal leader.
CARLA RODRIGUEZ |
Carla Rodriguez, the aunt of current tribal Chairman James Ramos, has been elected to succeed him April16, Ramos said.
Ramos decided not to seek another term as the tribal leader to concentrate on his campaign for San Bernardino County supervisor.
“She’ll do a good job for the community,” Ramos said. “She’ll do a good job for the tribe. She shares many of the same values and commitments I have.”
Carla was the former Tribal secretary
Why is it that tribes think that "white man" should stay out of tribal issues, but an ex tribal leader is trying to be a county supervisior?...maybe he is just trying to get better deals for his already hugely rich tribe.....he should stay running his tribe and stay out of the counties business.
ReplyDeleteToo late, San Manuel has elected a new leader.
ReplyDeleteHe's also a citizen, with rights to vote and run for election. Why would YOU advocate Ramos not exercise his rights?
Really o Pechanga,...it was more of a comment on your tribes leader saying things weren't any business of the white man....if we are supposed to stay out of tribals business, they should stay out of the "white mans"...and since I read on your site that San Manuel turned their backs and let the Mafia run around the reservation, I dont see how he will be good for city council.Just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThe city council also lets the Mafia run around the city.
ReplyDeleteRamos and Macarro are two different people. I'd love to have Macarro run for office, I'll be at every campaign stop....
Congrats
ReplyDeleteCorruption is corruption OP....doesn't make it right!..
ReplyDeletedoes anybody know how much that tribe gets
ReplyDeleteI think I read on this site that San Manuel members get $100,000 a month.
ReplyDeletethere is no need for that much money those mexicans

There is "Mixed Blood" in every "Tribe." So if the "Blood Ratio" is enough to be a "Tribal Member," then so be it. The amount of money is "Irrelevent," all it means is the "Tribe" is doing well and that they spread the wealth to their membership. Not like the likes of "Pechanga and the other "Corrupt and Criminal Tribes" that "Disenroll and Banish" legal "Tribal Members" so as to increase their own "Personal Wealth." Can you see the "Difference Here?" When a "Tribe" does right by its "Membership," it is a... "Win...Win!"..."Eagle Eyes."
