Details Coming In On Pechanga's Special Meeting: Hello Internal Revenue Service

Looks like Pechanga's former chairwoman, Jennie Miranda and her tip-stealing son Larry Miranda were in front of the General Council at Pechanga yesterday.

The number that was reported stolen from the tribe is in EXCESS of $50 million.    What is the tax rate on that?    The I.R.S. should be interested.   Just the withholding is $10 million.    And is stolen money taxable by the Franchise Tax Board?    No wonder CA is doing so terribly, if we don't get our criminals paying their FAIR SHARE.

The COMMENTS are OPEN:   What do you think is the proper punishment for stealing from the tribe?

Why is this kept out of the mainstream press?    Was the former chairperson simply being SELF-RELIANT?     When did her tribal council member brother KNOW?

  1. It is hard to believe that 1 or 2 people could get $50 million out of the casino by themselves. This sounds like a RICO issue. I would bet (no pun intended) much of it occurred during her tenure on PDC. When will criminal charges be filed? But more importantly, why havent charges already been fired?

  2. Are you shitin me, what about her brother andy ,ruth and francis?

bullshit put her in prison ,andy has some of that to,...

  3. Two people can't get 50 million out without gaming people looking the other way!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. How would one go about getting that type of money from the casino?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Easy, you got a pass or ID access back to the cash area ,theres always larges amounts sitting around . Send someone on lunch break ,findout where no camera's are in the room ,place money in his brief case .

Or pretend hes doing a run to fill up cash machines , find spot bad camera area put money in bag.

  6. How much of the $50 million would have gone into the tribal funds?

So, that would have affected EVERYONE'S per capita?

So EVERY tribal member was affected. Is that about $60,000 each?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Depends on the revenue allocation plan, I believe 80 percent of gaming funds went to pechanga members and 20 to other tribal stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I think were missing the point,if they are talking about 50 million, its out of the tribes hands (as far as charges)someone is going to PRISON.

The question here is will jennie take the fall for everyone?

  11. That is the train wreck getting ready to occur. The singing will begin, and Federal intervention will occur. Due process for lineal desendants? Custom and tradition? Butch, you went to the band to be adopted in the Indian way. The band accepted your plea and according to custom and tradition the band decided a membership issue that is recognized today. The band almost 30 years later voted to repeal a procedure, that empowered a committee the powrrs to investigate families for the purpose of disenrollment. How is it legal that the council including yourself allowed this committee to remove a family that was enrolled wgen the band voted to remove that procedure? Is that legal? Is that custom and tradition? Make the right choice people, look at the issues. It is being looked at by lawmakers. Its time to correct errors, the ball is rolling. Clean house!

  12. Not only that ...where are they hiding all that money?..if it's offshore the IRS will find it....how is she related to Raymond Basquez?...isn't he the one who owns the dealers school or pretends that his wife does?...there had to be a HUGE mo ey laundering scheme going on....and Mark has to be tied into it....that's why he wanted you guys out of the tribe....figured you would have caught on sooner instead of his loyal group who watched it happen...CROOKS!!....

  13. Your asking butch to clean house?

  14. His blood is on that 50 million.

  15. Your "chief" needs to be immediately recalled...if he was acting in the best interest of his tribe, he would have her immediately arrested...not have a meeting about it...he is probably afraid of what she might tell about his involvement..why else not act fast?...why does your tribe give him so much freedom?...and there is no way that he can keep the Feds out of this mess...no matter what he tries...and the better question is...why would he want to keep the Feds out?...

    ReplyDelete
  16. We all know full well Mark is in on it. They all know the paint is on someone's hands. So, fall guys... Jail to come and probably a payoff after time served.

    good plan!!

BS again without proper justice for all.

The punishment will not fit all the crime that has gone unchecked. But, we got to start somewhere.

  18. No one asked Butch to do anything except "look inside yourself" for the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Everyone needs to pay attention. Be careful at pointing fingers, really Mark finally has made a custom and tradition move. he is currently allowing the band to make decisions.

  20. Most of the tribal council, has known about the criminal activity for years. They have personally benefited from some off it and looked the other way on the rest. The Feds, the tribes Auditors and various other State and Federal agencies have dug up the dirt on these activities over the past four years. They have boatloads of Casino records, bank records, tax returns, canceled checks, personal testimony and what not. Cases like this are complicated and take many years of investigation. The tribe owes a billion dollars to banks, has thousands of employees, and owes millions to the State of California. Law enforcement must move carefully or many people, and financial interests may be hurt. The Feds, if they have an ounce of sense in their heads, have not shared the complete results of their audit examination with tribal officials, who have clearly demonstrated that they cannot be trusted. Mark and the tribal council will not know who will be indicted, until the indictments are unsealed. They have hired a private investigator to try to predict who may fall but the feds, and audit firms have no obligation to keep the investigator informed. In the meantime the tribal leadership is preparing the tribal members for the inevitable demise of their fat per cap checks in hopes of keeping their jobs and dodging a criminal indictment themselves. Whatever happens, the Tribe is no longer calling the shots at the Casino. The Banks, the Feds, the State of California, the audit firms and the Courts own the Casino now. The bright spot is that the interests of the disenrolled and the moratorium people is more closely allied with the banks and the government than it is allied to the tribal leaders and remaining membership. Let’s see what happens.

  21. Oh come on..."Mark has made a custom and tradition move?"..what happened to that custom and tradition when you were all disenrolled?...unless all the stuff I read on here isnt true?..I'm only going by what I have read on this blog for the last years...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sealed indictments are also used when an investigation is continuing so that those involved do not know what facts you plan to allege against the other defendants. In an indictment for conspiracy, for example, the acts in furtherance of the conspiracy are spelled out. If those not charged yet can see what a prosecutor is relying on in terms of factual allegations they may try to alter the evidence to avoid prosecution themselves.

  26. Does the tribe really owe a BILLION dollars?...why?...why pay such a big per cap to it's members when you owe so much money?..

    ReplyDelete
  27. That's the point behind the post. What did happen to the custom and tradition? you got the point. Custom and tradition is, "the band decides all matters". Including the "moratorium". I personally don't believe in the "moratorium", but the band did vote and decided in that matter. The band is the final voice in all matters. That's custom and tradition, and that's the point.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Because this is the " Indian Way " GREED!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Custom and tradition is the Indian way. The people in the band decides what it wants. Individuals within the band have a voice, but the band as a whole decide in all matters. Not everyone will always agree, but the Indian way is a pure democracy, and when the people speak that is law. That's Custom and Tradition. Greed sets in when Custom and Tradition is not followed. Just because we don't always agree with the band, that's ok.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Customs and traditions! Is it a democracy for one to be frightened in to vote in away that someone is telling you to vote for fear that you could be next to be disenrolled. Is it custom and tradition to do this? Is it custom and tradition to turn away your own blood? To take their allotted land. To banish your own. That is not a custom or a tradition my elders past down to me.

You got the point again. No Custom, No Tradition = GREED GREED GREED! If Custom and tradition is not followed you get what you got.

  34. Custom: usual practice
Tradition: the handing down of beliefs customs, ect., through generations.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Is the band holding to tradition? I think NOT. My grandma who is also yours would not have lead her family astray by a vote. By a word BANISHMENT! She would not have handed down that belief. That would not have been something she would have practiced. So really with the traditions and customs.

    ReplyDelete
  36. You are correct in the fact that the "Indian way" has probably lost it's meaning at this point. But the point is "Custom and Tradition" is were the Band decides all matters. Not elected officials. Elected officials will only be the voice of the people. If someone asks you to vote a certain way, and you do it, that's an individual choice. If your heart tells you not to follow that request, then that's ok. Individuals, families and clans make up the Band. Collectively the band decides all matters. That's the point.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The people of Pechanga voted to retain the Hunter clan but in spite of this, they were disenrolled by an elite few. When the vote of the people mean little and the constitution of the people is ignored you have tyranny. Good luck to you all!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Reading blogs sometimes we cant see what really happens. The People of Pechanga did not vote to retain the Hunter clan. The vote you are bringing to lite had little to do with this. The petition that was voted on, was to stop all investigations for the purpose of dis enrolling, to repeal a procedure which allowed that, and to recognize all currently enrolled at the time as a base roll. The Hunter clan did not write this petition, others did. We supported it because we wanted to the people to make the right choice and live peacefully. This particular petition was brought forward to the General membership, justified by legal council and voted on overwhelmingly in favor of the band to make it law. What happened after that fact, is were elected officials, not the band decided to go against the will of the people and ignore its voice. Shameful but true. Then these elected officials have the guts to put it in writing, and think that sovereignty will protect them. The people should look at this situation closely, especially with the current events. Decide now if they want to allow this decision to hold up, or oust this corrupt thinking from the tyranny it's bringing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. really what it comes down to at this moment, will the people sit back and do nothing? Will the people, knowing today that the end is near, allow corruption to continue? The Feds, State have a huge task, and are going to uncover the truth. The people can, at any time help by making the elected officials accountable for were the Band stands now. How can the elected officials be a decision maker? The decision to send out a mailer saying that a committee has the right to decide the fate of membership, even after the Band said no is a clear sign that things are being covered up. Lawmakers are aware of the smoke and mirrors. We can do the right thing, but it will take the majority not a minority to make thing right.

  40. People talk about "greed" your missing the mark!

This was all about a group of people who conspired to pretend to be "Temecula Indian" with the "Intent" to steal money from the casino.

The Tribe still has many members that have the "Intent " to steal, even after the FEDS move in and arrest people in a few weeks.

The tribe will still have to deal with these tribal members who will say,"I would never do that to my people"....But in a few months they will feel they are going to get kicked out so they will steal just like the rest......

Is it true "they paint their face and wear eagle feathers before they go into battle"?

Yes "its true" they once were a people full of pride!

    ReplyDelete
  47. (Yes "its true" they once were a people full of pride!)

We still believe we are full of pride. Today warriors are on many different fronts. Not all warriors paint, or wear feathers. It depends on were the warriors are in the battle. Some warriors want to believe they are the only ones, by making themselves visible to everyone. That is the choice that warrior uses. Others hv chosen a different approach, but it is as effective as the warrior who wants to stand out and shout. The main thing is, change is coming!

  48. We really believe that this mess started over 50 yrs. ago and the true depth to this investigation will continue to unfold. Liars, thieves and corruption have existed for so long, but the fuse has been lit and the truth will be exposed.

    ReplyDelete
  49. And that is the only reason your leader is finally pretending to give his tribe a voice....he knows now the tribe is being scrutinized....all of a sudden he is following custom?..really??a true leader would neer have let his tribe be ruled by greed and slaughter his own tribe by disenrollment.

    ReplyDelete
  50. You are correct, but please know this is not our "leader". You are also correct in the fact that all the sudden he "the leader" feels the heat. Our true "leader" is in each one of us, and the right thing will happen. It always has and always will. Our creator is our true leader.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Sealed indictments, true investigations, true due process will route out allot of the BS infesting Pechanga. Its unfortunate that it could not have been handled internally, but it is bigger than anyone could have imagined. The heat is almost to the boiling point. How can any of the current leaders say they had no idea? That is the biggest crock of BS to date.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Sorry guys, "Custom and Tradition" has been lost at "Pechanga," and it will take a "Long Climb To the Top Of the Mountain" to regain even a part of what has been taken from us. "Corruption and Greed" and an "In-sah-able Appitite for $$$$" has "Ripped Us" of any resemblance of "Custom and Tradition" and at the "Expense" of "Birthright and Heritage" at the hands of these "Corrupt and Criminal Parasites!" I have mentioned in past posts that the "Corrupt" would eventually be "Taken Down." No one new exactly when, but we hoped it would be sooner then later. So this is a start! Lets hope that this unraveling of "Pechanga's Corrupt and Criminal Enterprises" will start that "Chain Reaction" that finally takes a look at all involved in this "Quagmire of Deceit." It was "Inevitable," but to what extent? I guess we will all have to "Hide and Watch" and see if the "Dragons Get Slayed." And they thought: "Sovereignty Would Save Them!" How much C.Y.A can they put forth? You did the "Crime, now do the Time!" And who will be through'n under the "Bus" in their attempt at "Damage Control" that won't "Fly!"....."Eagle Eyes."

    ReplyDelete
  53. Custom and tradition has not been "lost" @ Pechanga. It's interesting one would say that. It has been exploited, tarnished, abused, but it still exists. Language, and culture have been simi salvaged. Individuals, families and clans continue to exist. The Band is going thru a much needed change, and hopefully the corrupt who have exploited "custom and tradition" for personal gain, will pay for their actions. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing is ever lost, just misplaced. Our people survived after several attempts to smother "Custom and Tradition" by small minded people through decades. Not everyone is evil, and may have been mislead by money, or lies, or misinformation. Everything is the way it is, and its our individual place to find the misplaced ideals our ancestors left. Will it happen over night? I don't believe so, but it is happening. Good thing!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Or will your leaders continue to force people to vote with them in fear of dis-enrollment.?..it's going to be very hard for these corrupt leaders to change....the money is too hard to resist..and I believe the patrons of the casino will be the biggest losers because the machines will be turned down so low to keep the tribe in the high per cap...although they should all look to the Foxwood casino....whose members lost their per cap and that huge casino is now bankrupt and owing more than 2 Billion dollars...

  55. How come whenever I search IRS pechanga warrant this article comes up? was pechanga a place they hit?

FBI and IRS agents served nine search warrants Thursday at the homes and offices of former state Senator Jim Brulte, a Riverside publicist and four defendants in a sweeping San Bernardino County corruption scandal.

Roughly 100 agents fanned out across San Bernardino and Riverside counties throughout the day, serving warrants in Rancho Cucamonga, Highland, Oak Hills, Fontana and Riverside. They carted away personal computers, mobile phones and boxes filled with bank and mobile phone records, among other evidence.
