Civil Rights Abusing Tribe, The Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians, Largest Special Interest Donor Tribe

According to a recent Stanford project,   The Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians, founded by an executive order in 1882, has spent more on political contributions than any other tribe in the state since 2000.  The bulk of its donations – 90 percent – worked to sway gaming-related ballot measures, and the tribe had its way each time.

The tribe, which is well known to have stripped the citizenship of 25% of it's tribe has given  $49,640,206 to winners, $357,063 to losers

Remember when Pechanga, led by Mark Macarro tried to keep Californians from voting?

See report here  to see how Pechanga has spent some of the money it has stolen from rightful members of the tribe they disenrolled.

  1. $49 million? Was that approved by the tribe. I am sure they would have wanted to spread that amongst themselves!!

  4. It doesn't cost that much to buy a politician. Most of the money spent was on the Prop. 94. Pechanga spent more than twice the other three tribes combined.

WE forced them to do that, because of the negative publicity generated by this blog.

That's something we can be proud of.

  5. When the tribes asked California for gaming, it was supposed to be shared amongst all the non- casino tribes...it sure was a big lie.....look at the amount that went to bribe public officials and then look at how much was spent on per capita....and how much was stolen....I bet the non casino tribes aren't getting much of anything....the tribes lied....plain and simple...should be enough to close them down.....false promises....and then to kick out their own to enrich their own pockets....time for the Government to step in and squash it.

  6. The Government won't step in to squash it because the American Government has had an ongoing plan of eradicating the native population of this country for hundreds of years. First they tried genocide going so far to even offer bountys on Indians. Then they tried rounding them up and forcing them on reservations, knowing full well the importance the American Indian placed on freedom. They tried killing and destroying there food supply.

Then they tried to get rid of us by assimilation. Hoping we would dissapear and vanish forever into the general population. Making it a crime for indians to speak there own language, or practice there religious beliefs.

Now comes there most insidious plan, lets let them have casinos. Knowing the effect that an almost unlimited supply of money would have on a people who were unacustomed to such things. That it would attract unscrupulous people, and would tear apart the tribe from within. Then they could proclaim when people came running to them asking for help "its an internal matter" and then turn there back and a blind eye on the whole thing.

I am sure someone is snickering and laughing now.... the plan is working so well.

The Government will not step in and squash it, it's what they want.

  7. I'm sorry...that's a little too simplistic...African Americans were made slaves for years and actively assimilated into the population after freedom...the Indians seemed to stay on the reservations and live in poverty and handouts from the Government....not all..but a big number...why?...even now with the Casinos, how many actually work at the Casinos?....and how many just wait each month for their check?...Im not trying to be disrespectful...and I am know many tribal members are hard workers....but according to things written on this site....there is much abuse of the system....and I don't think that it is our Government trying to keep the tribes down...we all control our own destiny and laying down and saying poor me isn't going to solve anything....your tribal members need to challenge their leadership...it is your own tribes destroying themselves....and all for greed.

  8. yes it is all for greed. but when you have a member speak out then they get disenrolled with no reason or secret documents that only the tribal goverment see then it sends a mesage to the tribe dont ask or say anythig or you will be disenrolled and we dont need to follow tribal laws.

  9. No argument there should never had been dis-enrollments...they counted you when they were trying to get the Casinos and used your names on petitions, yet now you aren't Indian once they got them....that is total FRAUD!..plain and simple.....but what a bunch of greedy sheep your fellow tribal members are not to stand up to these fraudulent leaders....of course if they let you back in, their per cap will be cut even further, so I dont think you can count on your fellow tribal members...they might need a new boat or fancy car...I hope they sleep well at night knowing it's blood money.

10:10. I can't speak for pechanga but I know pala disenrolled have pictures of MB on the reservation I am sure pechanga does to. A historian hired by pechanga leaders who found they should not have been disenrolled probably has a few .

Sad how people can be bought with campaign contributions .

  13. @Flower girl. Many of the ancestors are well documented and their pictures are everywhere on the net if you know specific names. However, I've yet to ever see a "group" photo that didn't deal with the pics out there of people being moved with wagons. There are some really nice pics of Leonardo Owlinguish, Roscinda Nolasquez, Margaret Ortega, Antonio Garra, Salvadora Valenzuela, Vivian Banks Margaritta Brittain and quite a few more just by a simple google or bing image search...
