Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians Chairman Mark Macarro has a golden opportunity to right a serious wrong in his tribe as he gets re-elected for another term.
We all know that Jennie Miranda, former chairwoman of the Pechanga tribe, has now been disenfranchised for cheating the tribe, along with her son and others. The elderly Miranda, sister to sitting councilman Andrew Masiel, head of the Native American Caucus of the Democratic Party, was one of the leaders of the movement to disenroll rightful members of the tribe, including the Hunter family.
One wonders why ALL the descendents of Francisca Leivas have not been disenrolled for actions against the tribe.
The story of disenrollment has been told in two television reports: KNBC’s Without A Tribe and KCBS 2 Los Angeles just reported on the Pala Disenrollment and Pechanga too.
MR. MACARRO, Stand up and do what is right, and your legacy in Indian Country as a leader will be ensured. Bring a tribe together. We KNOW that the Masiel-Basquez crime family is responsible. THEY should be outcast. Your ancestors called our ancestors 'auntie'. YOU know what is the right thing to do.

ReplyDeleteComment without being a racist. Most of us are lucky enough to have descendents from Mexico.
ReplyDeleteIt makes you look stupid.
What? That "Corrupt and Criminal Parasite"..."Macarro" is being reelected for another term? So he has the membership..."Scared" of what he may do if they "DON'T?" Nothing has changed! And it "WON'T!"..."Eagle Eyes."
ReplyDeleteHe is running unopposed
ReplyDeleteQUESTION: How could all this be going on with Jennie and her son, and Andrew Masiel NOT know anything about it?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't he notice his sister getting richer? Spending more?
They worked in tandem to get members terminated, but they were separated on this? Andy drew the line at harming 25% of the tribal people, but wouldn't be involved in selling some slots?
What a tribe...Really?...no one has the class or guts to run against this guy and try and bring the tribe together?...this tells you the whole tribe is corrupt and only looking out for their per cap. What a shame.
ReplyDeleteMr. Macarro,
ReplyDeleteHow can you trust that Jennie was NOT lying when she said the Manuela Miranda family should not belong in the tribe?
How can you trust a thief? Your brother is family and you have to trust him, at least to protect you. But how can you protect Jennie?
What did Masiel know and when did he know it?
Do the right thing, Macarro. Uphold the will of the people who voted to END all disenrollment.
ReplyDeleteStand by your statement, ALL MEANS ALL.
He is running unopposed!
ReplyDeleteOf course he is. He has the membership "Scared Sh..less!" You know he does? They are all "Sheep to the Slaughter!" He has let it be known that there will be "Hell To Pay" if someone trys to stop his "Reelection." And as always, they line up and all fall in line as "Good Sheep" should. Could I be "Wrong? Not "Even!" "Macarro and his Henchmen" are "Corrupt and Criminal Parasites" that are "Destoying Pechanga" from within, and using "Sovereignty" as their weapon against, even, his own membership. His actions show that he has no concern for either "Heritage or Birthright!" Macarro is a "Greedy Parasite." His "Criminal Endeavors need to be brought to light, and he needs to be taken down for the "Treasonous Acts" against his own people...."Eagle Eyes."
How do you people that write about all the bad things Mark and his cronies have done and then in the next breath, think he will do the right thing.?Mark is probably looking for the next family to kick out after the election to reward all of his sheep followers. It will give them a nice per cap raise if he does that.Is it fear or do the remaining tribe members think he is doing a good job?
ReplyDeleteIf they think Mark is doing a good job they are fools. The casino is on the verge of being shut down by the feds for RICO violation and money laundry. That’s why Jennie and them were disenfranchised and not disenrolled so the feds could have something to seize their per cap.
ReplyDeleteA few individuals who committed crimes against Pechanga have been sanctioned. These crimes, however, had nothing whatsoever to do with the separate question of the membership status of the non-members. The non-members have been removed from the Pechanga tribal roll for failing to produce the credentials that support tribal membership.

You must be joking; those who were sanctioned are only a part of the problem that faces Pechanga. When this all started so many years ago with the splinter group who knew that greed of money would be in their favor, so it was an easy sell to make false accusations. We have always been able to prove who we are. I see that Pechanga and he people left still hide behind the sovereign umbrella, and that the same old party line is still being spewed.

Here is that "Pompus A.. with his usual statement of "Non-Members." He can't sell it. Anotherview your a "Punk, Plain and Simple."..."Eagle Eyes."

Just because you believe a lie, does not make it the truth. Credentials are rock solid, and the facts are clear. The biggest fact is, you cant accept the truth.
If Mark really want shut down this blog and stop the hunters from going to the new (channel 2and 4) and show congress Pechanga did the right thing with the disenrollment is to allow the Commissioner of Indian Affairs Delegation of Authority Regarding Tribal Enactments. This does not impede on sovereignty it only enforces the tribes constitution and bylaws. Maybe that why Mark is scared of this it will show the Hunters had all the right documentation. Or he could avoid this and bring the hunters back though the tribe. Remember that what’s happing with Jennie Miranda and the Leyva family and Ryan Robinsons court trial congress and the feds are starting to look in to Pechanga doings.

ReplyDeleteThere was no failure produce the credentials that support "Tribal Membership, just "Refusal" to act responably in accepting what was presented. The "Information was "Solid, and without question. They just "Ignored" what was given to them. Our "Constitution and Bylaws" should have come into play, but they "Ignored" that also. All this "Illegally!"...."Greed, that all it is..."Eagle Eyes."
