Robert Smith, Chairman of Pala the Newest Inductee into the Native American Hall of Shame
It's something we created a few years ago, Original Pechanga’s Blog Native American Hall of Fame. Today,
we have the displeasure of adding a new member:
Pala Chairman ROBERT SMITH:
The portly chairman of the Pala Band has overseen the stripping of tribal citizenship from 154 people. Sadly, we've found out that one of the original eight he had terminated, died from consequences of alcohol abuse, exascerbated by the despair brought on by the termination of her family.
Smith has ignored the Bureau of Indian Affairs admonition that the Marguerite Brittain family should remain in the tribe based on their family proving they belong. Smith is on record as saying he won't show the "evidence" he has because "we are a sovereign nation and we don't have to" during an interview by Cristy Fajardo of KCBS TV.
Mr. Smith, HAVE YOU NO SHAME?
Obviously NOT
ReplyDeleteThat guy is a waste. He is a people destroying. Self empowering egotistical man with a Napoleon complex. Who has convinced himself of his own lies and gotten others to follow him with bribes and terror tactics. Holding monthly checks over thier head. I vote him #1. Good job smith. You did make it to #1 in someone's eyes.
ReplyDeleteThese leaders have brought so much shame onto the tribes. No one believes their lies, not when Mark Macarro and Robert Smith openly lie on television and mock peoples intelligence. We see right through you. WE know what your about, greed, corruption!
ReplyDeleteHow that man can live with himself I don't know. I pray that God has mercy on his soul. What Smith and the EC have done to the 162 and their famiiles is indescribable. As much as they have harmed my spouse and my family by their actions I pray for that God will help them and not send them to hell. We no longer have hatred for them as we know that they need prayers for all the bad they have done. As much as I know it has harmed many of you pray for them.. they sincerly need it.. to keep harm away from them, their bad judgements and crimes from hurting others and for their own souls to go to heaven rather than hell. We know where we will be on judgement day.
ReplyDeleteWhy?...why would you want them in heaven? if it isn't all just a big fairy tale?...praying for them?...why?..they are hateful, destructive humans that dont deserve prayer...come back to the real world...if there was a God, he would strike down people like him...they pray on your weakness.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Government is sitting back watching the Pala leaders destruct what millions of Native Americans fought for in the 1800's. Peace, Recognition, Respect, Sovereignty!
ReplyDeleteBrittin family--stand firm! You are who you are...Pala EC cannot take that from your heart.
Pala EC take a minute-- go to your desk--shut the door---look deep inside yourselves.... is this the person you want to be? Is this the person your mothers/fathers (ancestors) would be proud of? Is this the legacy you want to leave your children??? I think not.
The Government don't care about any one of us! They are waiting for us to fail-to destruct ourselves. The Government is waiting for the right time to step in and accuse the tribes of abusing our sovereignty, and they would love to point out that we as tribes cannot equally govern ourselves. The Government would love to take away our Sovereignty!
Pala EC you should be leading your people in righteous manner. What we do today effects are children and their children-are future! Do you understand what you are setting your children up for? The ridicule, embarrassment, the disrespect they are going thru because you continue to make the wrong decisions. Are you really showing them what being NATIVE is really about?
Native people were once known for unity, strength, respect, and tradition. Do you honestly think your child is looking up at you--proud of what you are doing? The decisions you make today- you may not think twice about...but if you truly love your family, your people, your culture---then start leading your tribe to be stronger than ever...Lead them in a way--that they will have influentual voice-a stong voice-a respectful voice, and educated voice. Because we all know that one day, history will try and repeat itself--the Government will try once again to take our land. Pala EC- because of your decisions you are not only entertaining the Government by your actions of destruction, you are losing the respect and support of many of your own people and the surrounding tribes. There are so many already that have lost respect for you--not only as leaders but as a people. Your starting battles that your children will have to grow up and deal with (not only within the tribe, but battles with the Government). Is this what you want for your children and Native people? Wouldnt you want your children to be proud of where they came from?
Pala EC- be the righteous leaders that GOD and your people have asked you to be. It's not too late to make your people proud.
In the end---We need to stand together!
I agree with Anonymous 1:12 pm;
ReplyDeleteBy these tribes disenrolling and making these wrongful decisions, they may be opening doors for the Government to come in and try to govern our people. What a shame! These tribes are not only making it bad for themselves, but also for the rest of the Native tribes in this country. Because when the Government steps in, it's going to effect all tribes, not just one!
Pala and Pechanga Tribe---You need to get those people currently on Councils out of there before EVERYONE (all Tribes) have to fight with the Government! Those people still enrolled---get up, take control, cause if you dont your just as guilty as the people that are committing these shameful acts!
if pechanga and others can't get back in their tribal roles what makes all this blah blah going to help??? alcohol abuse is just that alcohol abuse--and anyone native should know this---just another reason to drink. and all of this has been brought on by these same families fighting over the years---they know that.
ReplyDeleteWhat if the Mob has control of Robert Smith and is milking the tribe that's why we're going broke! Robert has to disenroll to save more money to give the mob cuz they keep taking and taking. He's more afraid of them then his own people that's why he screws us over. The mobs been using casinos for years to skim. And what's better then a sovereign native casino that controls itself. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteROB ,THERESA N., DION N LEROY ARE ALL LOW LIFE PIECES OF SHIT N ANYONE ELSE THAT SIDES WITH THEM THERE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY ARE THE ONES SUFFERING
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 10:54 My family met with a spiritual healer to head off the evil that RS has sent our way and we were told to pray for them and not to wish bad on them and it makes sense as much as my family and I have been harmed it does me no good to wish evil and bad wishes on them. It is God who will decide what happens to them and I pray he makes them realize they what they have done is wrong (not just disenrollents but criminal acts) before their judgement day.
ReplyDeleteHere is a good rumor. Pala has a General Fund that is monitored by the Feds to verify that they are distributing per capita, paying taxes, and fulfilling their fiscal responsibilities. RS stole from the fund for one of Dickstein's famous conversion deals. You know, where they convert the tribal money to personal income. He had to scramble to replenish the fund, so he disenrolled MB descendents so he could use their per capita to repay the fund. This had the added benefit of enabling RS to steal the trust funds of all the minors tax free.
ReplyDeleteHow do you like him now, Pala?
George Maloof Jr = organized crime, Robert Smith = a dumb little fat fck native, Howard Dickstien = A jew indian hating attorney ... Pala does not have a chance! Robert is in way to deep, he DOES need to be afraid of his two "friends", not pala members
