Chukchansi Continues to Decimate their Population. Should They Have to Go Through Recognition Process?

Word coming through that the Chukchansi tribal council has sent out MORE disenrollment letters. IS THIS STILL THE TRIBE that was federally recognized? Is it time to suspend their recognition and make them go through the process again?

  3. BIA doesn't seem to care about the way Chukchansi is dis enrolling at a steady pace. the holdover government has spent so much on holding us (the opposing faction) back that the first payment on the new restructure of the loan may not be paid next month. default???? We will be demonstrating on Oct 6th at the Chukchansi Pow wow in Coarsegold Ca. Starting at 8am We invite everyone who opposes dis enrollment to stand together with one loud voice and make everyone aware of how detrimental the MASS DIS ENROLLMENT OF CALIFORNIA really is.

  4. Just wait till the federal courts give it back to the rightful people. Things will be fixed and people will be held accountable and the real chukchansi people will prosper from all the wrong done to them. October is just around the corner their terror will come to an end.

  8. It is my opinion that the Pow Wow is the very place to bring our fight, for the disembroiled, moratorium, and banished have stories about their tribes. These stories need to be heard by others, others who will see the offending tribes for who they are. No one said to go to these places and cause trouble or be purposely destructive, for this is not how a proud people act. It is through numbers and knowledge that we will cause a change in the corrupt practices of our tribes. Yes there will be tribes and people there that will say go away we do not want you there, but listen to their vices. They will be the ones who care not for tradition, custom, and the wellbeing of others. In most cases they will be the tribes who caused such harm. If you look closely at the people you see you may see some who will talk with you, some who are afraid, and again those who are ashamed. We are better than that, and we have every right to say publicly the wrongs that have occurred and our occurring in our tribes.

  9. To anonymous We will be on good legal grounds We will be there to bring the horror of the truth to light. Just remember who is running this pow wow... Nancy Ayala and the rest of Satan's council. I'll be there that day remembering to honor those who died dis enrolled in my tribe, those elders who spoke out against the corruption and no longer have help with food and firewood. I will honor those who did occupy and were choked with the smoke of burning logs and poisoned with bear mace and still suffer today from it. I will stand that day defending those who are dis enrolled those who are weak those who are frightened the elders and the children of my tribe. And I do feel the Creator will bless me that day for bringing the horror of the truth to light. I also hope with all my might that dis enrolled from all California Tribes will come and raise the volume on the MASS DIS ENROLLMENT OF CALIFORNIA NATIVES!!!!!

  10. The BIA used to be a watchdog type over native tribes But now at least in California The BIA has become a branch that caters to corrupt EC's I think after years of doing business with these EC's the BIA has forgotten that the General Council (the people)are the tribe not the few that sit on the executive Councils.
