The weak minded and weaker willed city council of Temecula will HONOR, yes HONOR a tribe that has violated the civil and human rights of 25% of their population. A tribe that practices Apartheid on the reservation Temecula Patch reports:
The City of Temecula is planning to celebrate Dec. 11, and the public is invited to join and enjoy free hot dogs and holiday cookies.
First, Washington said council is expected during the Dec. 11 meeting to consider a proclamation honoring the Pechanga Band of LuiseƱo Mission Indians for its purchase of 365 acres of land owned by Watsonville, Calif.-based Granite Construction. The land was the former site of the much-contested Liberty Quarry project.
Remember, we wrote here about how Pechanga chairman Mark Macarro lied to congress over 300plus acres of "culturally sensitive" property. He said it wasn't going to be developed, and it's now the golf course. Mark's shorter brother John said it was a zoning change: http://www.originalpechanga.com/2008/03/pechanga-tribe-lie-is-as-good-as-truth.html

Word is that Pechanga Tribal Council has not brought the spending of $20 million before the people.
why should they bring the spending of a measly $20 million before the Membership? I'm sure the council spend much more than that without asking. After all, there is no real oversight on what they spend and where they spend it.

ReplyDeleteThey brought it to the people 1st for a vote in a secret general meeting. They have a lot of these meetings where everyone is sworn to secrecy.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry...they will just shut the machines down even more and rob all the citizens of Temecula to pay for it...why do you think there are so many foreclosures in Temecula and the surrounding areas?..because they are all losing their paychecks to the crooked slots at the casino...after all, unlike Vegas, the tribe is the gaming commission that controls their own machines....how crooked is that?...oh that's right....they are sovereign and can do what they want.
ReplyDeleteSo pechanga is responsible for the global recession?
ReplyDeleteIf you haters were Real Natives you would appreciate anyone saving an area that is sacret to all Luiseno people.
WE SHOULD DEMONSTRATE THAT DAY!

ReplyDeleteYour anthropologist and tribal records prove who the Real Natives are.
Who teaches hate? The Haters of pechanga, Jenni Miranda and her loyal followers the corrupt pechanga people. Pechanga was a nice place until adopted people showed up.
Mark my words (no pun intended) the bigger they are the harder they fall.

We do appreciate that this land is not becoming a Rock Quarry but, still, we don't trust Pechanga that they won't go back on their word like they did with the Great Oak Ranch and do some development, like the golf course, after they promised to not do any changes to it.
If Indian land is so "sacred"... Why build those awful Casinos on the land?..what a total contradiction of Tribal beliefs...what a waste of natural resources, what a terrible polluter...oh but wait....the tribes did it for money, just like the white man would that the tribes are always knocking.
ReplyDeleteAbout the " global recession"...it's proven that areas with Casinos have a much higher foreclosure rate...Vegas has one of the worse.....California not far behind...and yes...people are losing homes and go deep in debt because of the Casinos....so the tribes can drive their fancy cars and motor homes and skirt paying State sales tax on the purchases...the tribes are even greedier than the "white man". Who by the way, can get together anytime and take the gambling away from the tribes...all it takes is a vote!..
