"Without A Tribe" KNBC's Report on Pechanga's Disenrollment; See Mark Macarro Lie in 16 seconds.

This details the disenrollment of Pechanga members in 2006.  The Paulina Hunter descendents, which was the second family to be terminated from the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians.  Please listen to THEIR expert Dr John Johnson speak. WE DID NOT HIRE to review our family's Dr. Johnson, the foremost expert on California Indians PECHANGA DID. They used him to determine other families too.

Why did they not believe their OWN expert? Because he didn't come to the conclusion they wanted.  They accepted hearsay evidence versus the historical record of their own tribe. The preponderance of the evidence says that Paulina Hunter was Pechanga.   If Pechanga will CHEAT IT'S own people, won't they cheat YOU?

SADLY, Lawrence Madariaga, Hunter Family Elder, has passed away. This happened because Frances Miranda, Ihrene Scearce and Ruth Masiel disregarded their experts report, and believed a CHILD MOLESTER instead.  It's a disgrace and an action worthy of your scorn.

  1. When Mark Macarro is caught in his lie to Collins Williams who is he looking to off the camera? With tribes like this why do they need tribal sovereignty to protect criminal act like this.

  2. The Child molester was Vincent Ibanez. If you don't believe me look him up on California sex offenders.

  3. Some Pechanga tribal members may ask, how did Chairman Mark Macarro lie in the commercial leading up to the segment?

Well let's analyze at least one of his out and out lies. Macarro, at just 4 seconds into the commercial says the following, "As tribal leaders we take seriously our responsibility of guaranteeing fairness.”

Guaranteeing fairness sir? So how does allowing the very people, three woman on the enrollment committee, the very deciding votes who decided to kick our family out of our tribe, to vote on our case who were the same people who accused us of not being legitimate tribal members in the first place, and are close family members of the only so called witnesses against, us guaranteeing fairness?

Sir, allowing biased people who made statements about our case going in such as, "it doesn't matter what you turn in you are being disenrolled anyway" is not guaranteeing fairiness.

Not only that, it violates your own tribal constitution that is supposed to guarantee fairness which states under Article V, "IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF ALL ELECTED OFFICERS OF THE BAND TO UPHOLD AND ENFORCE THE CONSTITUTION, BYLAWS, AND ORDINANCES OF THE TEMECULA BAND OF LUISENO MISSION INDIANS; AND, ALSO TO UPHOLD THE INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS OF EACH MEMBER WITHOUT MALICE OR PREJUDICE.”

Before any of the disenrollment proceedings even started we asked in several letter to both the tribal council and the enrollment committee that the committee members in question, who could not be shown to give us due process and guarantee fairness, be made to step aside and be recused of ruling in our case but they were allowed to rule on our fate anyway.

Mr. Macarro, you lied as you did not guarantee fairness and in doing so you violated your own tribal constitution.
