KUSI's TURKO files have a story on the Pala Band of Indians claiming trust land as their own. Turko says the fence isn't the only problem and that the Indians are accused of trying to take over public land.
The Pala Tribe says they'll pay to repair any damage they caused to the neighbors land. But they also claim they own the trust land outright as sovereign territory. Even though county officials and land use experts say that's just not so.

Smith screwing up AGAIN.
ReplyDeleteHe'll keep doing whatever he wants until the BIA or government puts him in his place because he keeps getting away with it.
ReplyDeleteSorry if this isn't the place to ask this, but I can't think of where to ask. But...
ReplyDeleteIs the Rolling Hills Casino in Corning Northern Calif one of the places to avoid ?
Smack that ugly fuc@^r in the face with a shovel.
ReplyDelete@1:32 AM, look it up and if any page pops up about them disenrolling members then yes. Usually there will be some kind of article available about disenrollments. Personally I have not heard their name mentioned before, but I could be wrong. I am sure OP knows though.
ReplyDeleteWhile turko is on the Pala subject Someone should contact turko about Robert Smith disenrolling 164 tribal members without proof or reason other then to claim "I'm sovereign I shouldn't have to"
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the many reasons you don't give the fat kid the keys to the candy store.
ReplyDeletePala did not do this it was Robert Smith he has total control, anything Pala does is him doing it. Don't put the rest of us Pala tribal members in his category we did not approve or know about this. Oh wait I cant say this can I with the new ordinance I lost all freedom of speech in talking to outsiders about tribal matters or what goes on in Pala. Oh dear hopefully only other tribal members read this so I'm not in violation of Robert trying to keep us quiet he might take away my percap and banish me from meetings for a year "he's done it before". We'll the way Roberts running things there won't be any percap soon anyway!
ReplyDeleteDon't vote in Roberts lackeys Shawna Harper or Howard Maxy we need change on that council. Those of you on the election committee not related to Robert and care about Pala's future not matter what it takes argue all you have to make sure ALL votes are counted fairly and watch the THROW AWAYS!!!
ReplyDeleteMost of us Tribal Members had no clue about the fence that Turko was talking about, so please put the blame where blame is due.And thats on the lap of Robber Smith.
ReplyDeleteRobert has gone so far as to tell people who can or cannot visit our homes, monitors certain families comings and goings, all with an agenda. As the saying goes, "look into your own backyard" before you start taking any action. We all know who I am talking about, why is he allowed to run illegal activities and have scummy people around and not be "questioned" like other families? We have got to vote him out!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember the good old days when I was still a member in Pechanga. We were told the same things, who we could see and who we shouldn't be seen talking to.
ReplyDeleteSO HAS THERE BEEN ANYMORE NEWS ABOUT THE TRUST LAND? IS THE TURKO FILE GUY STILL LOOKING INTO THAT TRUST LAND AND THE FENCE THAT PALA HAS PUT UP OR HAS HE BEEN SILENCED TOO???
