  1. EXERPT FROM REZTALK "TO; NIGC…… The San Pasqual Tribal Government will be shut down in 2015.So bring your ass down to indian country and shut down the casino, because Allen Lawson is no longer our Chairman after January 11th 2015 and we are no longer going to accept Allen Lawson as our tribal leader and if he continues to think he is going to continue to operate. He's wrong. Enough is enough."

  3. If I lose my job at the casino, someone is going to get an ass whooping.

  4. I'm with you. There has to be an other option then shut down the casino. These protesters are just upset because shits not going their way. They need to fix there government and leave the casino out of the equation. Super ridiculous.

  5. The reason there is a Casino is because of tribal sovereignty. The people of the tribe decide who will lead them. At least that is the way it is supposed to be. If they want the casino they will figure it out.

  6. The outside will not help you so u need to fix things yourself..if your council is corrupt and money is missing then the people have a right to do something. We have the same problem at Pala. Lots of money missing and the only answer we get is the economy is low no Xmas bonus this year but yet the council gives themselves a bonus.

  7. The only option you have that does not get you put in jail or cost you a fortune in legal help (just to lose every time because the individual Indian has no sovereignty and no rights against their tribal leaders who are believed to be acting within the scope of their elected position), is to get in there and peacefully get the bad leaders out. Enrolled members have the right to walk in and make a citizens arrest because of the Chairman's wrongdoings, and if it happens on tribal land you can have him imprisoned so that the tribe can have a legitimate vote and get him out. Sounds like you have a lot of support. That way no one looses their job, but in reality it is because of the casinos that true Native Americans are being stripped of their heritage. Only they know the pain of no longer being welcomed where you were welcomed before for your entire life, no longer being able to be buried near your loved ones, the one thing you talked about all of the time was being able to be next to each other in death. The threats, the gawking by other members, calling you names, flipping you off, talking bad about you and treating you like you have the plague, yet they are your cousins, nieces, nephews. The whole thing is so ridiculous and the only people benefiting are those who are receiving monetary rewards for the ousting of the members, like the executive committee members, the lawyers who are raking in the dough from the many, many lawsuits, the lobbyist, the BIA, the NIGC, the state representatives, the governors, the mayors, the chief of police, and they all know how to look the other way so easily. Hmmm, why is that, all of a sudden ever since they built Indian Casinos there has been a multitude of disenrollments? Their explanation: "Gee it is because these members all of a sudden do not have the blood, or their ancestor really was not from this tribe, (even though the family has lived there for six generations)." Anyone that sees this as truth really needs to be examined. Good luck and I will pray for your safety, courage, and victory.

  8. The protesters are not getting disenrolled. They have never been enrolled. I don't think they can make a citizens arrest on anybody especially if your not a tribal member. The only way corruption stops is if the tribal members want it, not people who are applying for membership.

  9. I understand tribes especially casino tribes have real issues. Disenrollment, fraud, embezzlement, but this one is different. From what I read this younger generation are mad at their parents and grandparents because they wont enroll them. Its going to be interesting to what they say when the reporters ask them questions. Im sure its all going to be about casino profits and how they want a share of something thats not theres yet. Gonna be interesting to watch

  10. ? How can you protest or fight if you don't know if you even belong to that tribe? You think they would hire a genealogist To show you if you belong or don't. Instead of verbal genealogy

    ReplyDelete
  11. It doesn't matter if they hire a genealogist the tribal government will ignore its findings look at Pechanga they hired a genealogist and his findings were they were from Pechanga so they threw the report out. Congress needs to step in and enforce individual Indian civil rights. and enforce the

Commissioner of Indian Affairs Delegation of Authority Regarding Tribal Enactments Section 18 Paragraph (3) states Tribal enactments disenrolling persons found not to meet the established enrollment criteria. The Commissioner’s approval of such action shall be subject to appeal to the Secretary of the Interior.
Paragraph (4) The Commissioner shall forward to the Secretary, with a recommendation, ordinances, resolution, or contracts which, in the opinion of the Commissioner are: Inconsistent with an act of Congress or with a treaty or with tribal constitution or charter under which the ordinance, resolution, or contract was adopted, enacted, or negotiated; or should be disapproved or rescinded for any other reason.
Paragraph (5) Notwithstanding the provision of section 25 of this order, the Commissioner shall not redelegate the authority granted in this paragraph to any officer or employee who pursuant to a tribal constitution or charter passes upon ordinance, resolution, or contracts.

  12. How can you try to fight to get in or say your Indian civil rights are being violated if you don't even know if you are Indian. Can't put the cart before the horse

  13. I agree disenrollments are real. Maybe sometimes the members really don't belong but this is not something you brush with a broad stroke. Every case is different. Pechanga people proved themselves to have every right to be there. Same with Santa Rosa and I'm sure many others. Pala reservation, the Brittain family are still members but the blood was cut erroneously. All these tribes, the disenrollees were members. The San Pasqual family that is protesting were never members and they are fighting to be enrolled. Most tribes in California are not enrolling new members. And I dont see how overthrowing a government is going to get anyone enrolled. It should be done within the Tribes constitution.Good luck to the protesters though. Hope you accomplish your cou d'eta. One less casino to steal our money.

  14. Yes every disenrollment case is different but what they have in common is these tribal government's are not following their own tribal constitution's and then hiding behind sovereignty to not answer for their actions of illegally disenrolling tribal members.

  15. Get Down ,,,skins!

  16. The biggest problem with protesters is they never have a clear initiative. Is bringing awareness there goal? Because anyone who is not from that tribe doesn't give a shit.

  17. Its both sad and comical that you hear how much suffering the white man caused the native Americans...not disputing that, but as these casinos and tribes with over a decade of flush money have shown- does not seem like the NDN is helping their own. In Fact looks more like the tribal councils are even greedier.

  18. Who cares if anyone gives a shit? If you feel better protesting Bad Actors, do it. It's a choice to protect how you feel, not what others feel.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It matters if anyone gives a shit or you are just spinning your wheels. Nothing gets accomplished. Wanna feel good, eat a cookie. Do you think OriginalPechanga made this site to feel better about themselves? I doubt it. They made it to inform and educate other Tribal members that disenrollment is real and can happen to anyone. Hopefully through OriginalPechangas efforts they can someday get all their rights back.

  20. No one is spinning any wheels. Everyone has a purpose in this life. The lessons learned along the way are priceless. The Bad Actors of Pechanga hope that their lies and misinformation justify their acts. The Hunter family belongs in the story books, and the Bad actors think it's ok to cast them into shameful situations. We prey for the creator to bring the truth forward, and the family had help inside and outside the band. This blog is a source for the truth to be shared along with others who have traveled and shared the truth outside the band. Now the Bad actors want to broadcast their bad behavior again and take mail services away because they think its their rights. They have to live with their choices, and after life hopefully they have done good deeds that out way the bad deeds they have broadcast. If not they can live with the outcome. Everything has a purpose, I hope more people choose the truth over the lies, so we can move on as ONE. I love you for showing me everything. I choose to live in the truth!!!! 4ever

  21. I agree, everyone does have a purpose. That's why protesting should have a purpose also. Protesting without a clear initiative is meaningless, but at least it makes you feel good. My reference is to the San Pasqual protesters, non tribal members, who want to push their way into tribal citizenship so they can disenroll 5 other families. Do you think San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians are going to give any weight to the protest. If anything they have caused a greater separation between SP Government and Lineal descendants. Who in their right mind would enroll a family that threatens everyone in the tribe, that when they get in theyll be disenrolled. Pfff. NO ONE.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anyone can share whatever they want. I believe the truth is better than lies. NO ONE is more than anyone. That's the truth. For factions to believe they are more, deserve more take away the truth from the creator. We are ALL here for a reason. Denial of the creator and Ancestral rights is not the way we where created. Either your a Bad Actor willing to lie, or believe we are ALL one and willing to share. Do whatever makes you feel is right and live with the outcome. Now and after we are playing in the circle.

  23. You know we have people in a moratorium at Pechanga. These people have never been enrolled. They know they belong just as much as those who are in the tribe4 and even us who were disenrolled. They have a right to protest just as much as we do. I think it is clear that tribes should not have moratoriums to keep people out. I ask this, why should these people who you say should not protest because they are not members not protest? If they are protesting the right to be considered then they have every right.

  25. People dont care because they dont know what is going on. Protests bring awareness. Information brings knowledge. Spotlights are the best disinfectants. Protest for your kids and for the rights of tribal people.

  26. How can you protests when you don't belong to the tribe. Why because everyone wants a check

Tribal membership is more than a check. We were members before the casino and per cap checks. It is about ancestral history, the right to visit and be buried by your family. The culture and community, as well as the right to have your children grow up in a school that teaches the tribes language and history. It is community and a sense of belonging. This place was our past and we are now told that we do not belong and we are not allowed to trespass.

Those people who are not members may have family who are. I speak of my own family. We have members who were never members of Pechanga because of the moratorium. We know they belong. Then there are the Tosibal's, not sure of the spelling, they have family who are members as well, and they are not members.

According to you they should not even be given a chance to prove that they/we are. When we were members we fought against people like you who wanted nothing to do with tradition. You claim it is about the money. I think you are the one who thinks about money. I also think that your statements are short-sighted and plain mean. The tribe was once a place where a person could go, and if they chose to live the way the people did and participate and contribute to the community they were accepted in the Indian way.

Protesting is a visible way to show disagreement peacefully especially if there is no legal recourse to do so. It is important that those who know they belong and have not been given the opportunity to prove that they do show that they care and that they have a right of consideration.
