The diminuitive brother of the portly Mark Macarro, John, who once proclaimed the land they promised Congress to not build upon.... a zoning change is GONE from Pechanga. His $300K+ salary, 'earned' while never passing the California BAR GONE.
Word from the REZ is that little John Macarro was fired for stealing from the tribe. Using a tribal credit card for personal trips.... AGAIN.
Thank goodness he was caught, essentially stealing. Makes you wonder why HE wasn't disenfranchised from the tribe like Jennie Miranda and others were when THEY stole from the tribe.
Could it be that Mark has been delaying or cancelling meetings so the question never comes up? Protecting John's per capita, while accepting the theft?
Could Pechanga sink ANY LOWER? Yes, they could put a Basquez on the council
COMMENTS ARE OPEN, what do you say?
It is time that this be reported to the FBI. That is a violation of Federal Law on Federal Land. He needs to be put in the same klink as the Soboba former chairman!
ReplyDeleteCome on mark and holly are bending the tribe over ,stealing lobby monies,...
ReplyDeleteJohn has taken peanuts compared to mark and holly.
ReplyDeleteIn just three year, John Macarro got a million dollars in salary for doing nothing.
ReplyDeleteWhat?
Isnt Mark's job to look out for the tribe?
Graduation is happening, others will join in the sharing of the lovely casino Funds. Your per cap may drop $1,000 a month, what's your next plan to get more $$$$$?? Some members will hold off on expanding their immediate family because of the drop of funds, others are searching where to get more, some are shaking their heads this crap is really happening. Open the doors and share more $$$ will all Indians. The creator will allow more funds to spread legally? How do you think ICRA and gaming funds were generated? The plan was to share with everyone? I'm sure the creator would like that plan better, than shrinking the bands, stealing others shares, and stealing from within the casino wells? I'm sure our Ancestors would disenroll others to have more? I's sure the creator loves the illegal actions of apartheid, funds not being shared. Thank you Mark, Jennie, John.... what are you sharing with everyone?!
ReplyDeleteTina, the treasurer caught John wetting his beak again. Who did little man think he was...Napoleon?
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a term for stealing thousands? GRAND THEFT?
Obviously Brother Mark knew about this all along and is now trying to protect his little brother further from tribal discipline by canceling meetings. The people are mad at Mark for this and the way he is handling everything. This really disqualifies Mark as Chairperson. We all know these 2 brothers have been stealing $thousands from the tribe for years!
ReplyDeletedisenrolling 1/3 of the voting members was only a start to the thieves plans. all the criminals support Mark, I wonder why?
ReplyDeleteYou know the DOJ is watching everything they do. Especially since they fired the whistleblower. Mark and his wife will probably go down one day. And Basquez isn't even Pechanga is he? From what I read on here, that is a man that should be held accountable for the disenrollments as well.
ReplyDeleteALL current members are accountable for the lies and misinformation being broadcast. Criminal acts will always be brought out, thank you for allowing the criminals to be held accountable. Honor your Ancestors We ALL deserve to share the TRUTH!
ReplyDeleteMark said "We have a right to determine membership." Correct, the truth is WE ALREADY DETERMINED MEMBERSHIP, and our Ancestors were honored and respected. Now to have a faction led by Macarro et al thinking it's legal and ok to dishonor our Ancestors, determine membership on enrolled members who meet the requirements, take away all their rights and spend their share of everything the band has been allowed to participate in. Pechanga deserves to be honored with truth. Hunter family is Pechanga, no other family is more Pechanga than Paulina and her descendants. Your Ancestors knew the truth and filed oral depositions on Allotted Indians. The reservation and Casino would not be here today if the Ancestors did not record the truth. Honor them NOW!
ReplyDeleteThe B.I.A. and congress said the tribe has a right to determine tribal membership based on tribal law and tribal constitution. This means the tribes can deny membership and disenroll following the criteria of tribal by laws and their constitution. Now this is were tribes like Pechanga , Pala , San Pasqaul and others have broken tribal by laws and constitution just because they are in office disenrolling who they dislike or threatens their political power. Not enrolling others but enrolling their family for votes. So if congress , senate and the B.I.A. make strong statements of tribes rights to disenroll based on tribal laws and constitution then they need to make shore that the disenrolling tribes are following their tribal laws.
ReplyDeleteI truly is a sad state of affairs when you discriminate against your own people. Greed is an ugly thing, and dis-enrolling people so that you can get $26k+ a month is sickening. If you can't evenly distribute the wealth that place generates and easily survive there is something wrong with you. There is also no intensive for your youth to excel in life. They know that their check will come no matter if they go to college or sit on their ass. It gives them no intensive to better themselves and the communities around them. I know that 150 years ago natives were treated unjustly, but that in my opinion doesn't compare to the unjust actions that I witness today. How can you as a people look at yourself in the mirror knowing that at least a third of your "tribe" are struggling while you live a lavish lifestyle? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
