Pechanga Councilmember Andrew Masiel is OUT: Resigns amid Ethics Committee Investigation

Andrew Masiel, Sr.  the now former council member for the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians has resigned.  Masiel was well known for helping his family disenroll two large families from the tribe in 2004 and 2006.
Sources say that Masiel had been under investigation by the tribe's Ethics committee. Masiel resigned two weeks ago, and was NOT at the council table at this past Sunday's tribal meeting.

Masiel also led the Native American Caucus of the Democratic Party which stood up against Native American's rights during a heated vote in Anaheim, CA.

Word is that Masiel will run for political office.  Really?  Who would vote for this guy?  The opposition research teams will have a field day.   Please check this blog for plenty of reason not  to vote for Masiel. Read this article for MORE links to Masiel and Pechanga Council's corruption

  2. Just because he's under investigation doesn't mean he did anything wrong. Just because he's a crime family member doesn't mean he's into crime.
Just because there's smoke doesn't mean there's fire

  3. Just because he was fired from Sobba for writing checks to him self doesn't mean he is a crook.

  5. I am interested in the members of the tribe's Ethics committee. It would appear they the tribe's Ethics committee must have remembers who at least understand what an ethic is. I wonder if it is just retaliation for past acts against Marcy.

  7. Andy Masiel is a really nice guy but unfortunately has crime Blood/DNA in him. Long before there was an ethics committee he's been stealing from the Tribe. Writting himself and Jenny Pechanga Checks. Forging other Council members names (Doris Whited), on the checks. Traveling all over the world with his family, on Pechanga Credit Cards. The list goes on indefinitely! He was bound to get caught and removed from the Council eventually. I kinda feel sorry for him. I don't think he can help it. Stealing and lying is really in that families BLOOD!

  17. A friend & I were speaking about this very subject lastnight. About how a lot of the youth have strayed. Well, yes its very sad BUT its embarrassing to watch any Adult (especially a Member of the Council) go astray and apparently he thinks about materialistic riches that he can't bring when he walks on!
As far as the je Dems, theyve been buying votes since the 1st ran for office. ALL sides are crooked. (This is funny, yes But i say from under the bed, im stuck,)
Cooperate America, the comgomulate media, and the plastic numb & dumb majority of the Western Hemisphere need to be focusing, trying to remember when, where and why they left their hearts.
We need to show empathy for these plaintiffs. Everything comes full circle.
    Wado!
