The Nooksack Tribe's HATRED has caused some economic repercussions. Word came down that the NOOKSACK RIVER CASINO has closed. A phone call confirmed they would NOT be open today. This will be a terrible Christmas for so many employees and their families.
How is it that the tribe could spend millions trying to screw their own members out of their rightful place in the tribe, led by ADOPTED member Kelly, and let their core business falter. That lawyer money could have been spent for advertising, updating their casino and cash flow...
Will the TRIBE continue to suffer under the leadership of BOB KELLY?
Well it is sad to see. If these people were part of the tribe before the Casino, then they should not have to worry about disenrollment. The Casino was built and started with all members in mind, until the money starts rolling in and greed takes over. I hope Pala closes too, and Pechanga, since their leaders can't be honest, it will take the closing of the Casinos to get rid of these evil leaders and then the tribes can rebuild, because with the Casinos not bringing in money the evil leaders will have nothing to win by disenrolling or by staying in power. Also non-Indian businesses are not going to want to deal with them because they will have no retribution if the Casinos close, because they can't sue them. Ha sovereignty is actually backfiring here. These are the Indians that are ruining the whole idea of sovereignty, the evil leaders, and they know it. They do not care because they have the money and the members they are suppose to be protecting are being taken advantage of. This should be a warning to all tribes who are dealing with disenrollment. Get rid of your evil leaders before it is too late. No more per-capita, no more bonuses, ha. What are you going to do? How are you going to pay your bills? Oh wait there is welfare for you, not. You will all learn how disenrollment really is the ruin of your tribe. AHO!
ReplyDelete# how much can you get for water not a question # your job is to protect that not save it God gave us plentiful. Stop fighting I'm sick of listing to all you your all family get it together. And I have no problem with # anonymous

ReplyDeleteGrease are butt's with per cap. Sell out's.
With the ring leader of the crime family Raymond dead, the disenrolled might have had a chance. But now his felon son might be even more evil than his father and he is on Council. What is wrong with your tribal members? Maybe someone should do some digging into the real origin of the Basquez clan.

ReplyDeleteThe Bellingham Herald reported a sign on the casino door Friday said it’s closed and that an announcement would come about how people can cash in tickets and chips.
The Nooksack Indian Tribe, which owns the casino, has been in court with lenders for years over unpaid debts that were used for casino renovations.
The casino was renovated with about $15 million in loans that Nooksack Business Corp., an entity owned by the roughly 2,000-member tribe, made payments on for a year before going into default.
Nooksack Indian Tribal Chairman Bob Kelly told members in June of the casino’s possible closing.
Lenders had sought to keep it open in order to recoup some of the loan money.
