Pechanga Violated Civil and Human Rights Disenfranchised Voters, Stripped Citizenship Democrats say, SO WHAT?? |
Does anyone think that the DNC would CARE about getting money from civil rights abusing tribe's like Pechanga, which tried to keep tried to keep Californians from voting on casinos???
The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians from California, the Gila River Indian Community of Arizona, the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians in California, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community of Minnesota and the Table Mountain Rancheria of California each gave $100,200 for the event next month, according to a filing a document filed with the Federal Election Commission. The donations, all of which were made in May, came to a total of $501,000. The Pechanga Band donated $43,900 for a year-to-date total of $144,100, according to the FEC filing dated June 20.
ANY WONDER that just last week the Pechanga Water Rights Bill came up in the HOUSE? QUID PRO QUO, anyone?
Has the Democratic Party NO DECENCY? Uh, NO, because they put up former councilmember Andrew Masiel up for state congress.
it's my understanding that picayune has also contributed toward one or both of the campaigns, and have spent $16 million dollars thus far in fighting against the north fork mono casino development...
ReplyDeleteand, believe me rick, both the democratic AND republican party will take money from just about anyone--and do....most gaming tribes throw money down both sides of the aisle very liberally....well known fact...money IS influence...
ReplyDeleteIt's not just the democrats I agree with Anonymous for ALL nations...for ALL Chukchansi people, politicians do not have morals or ethics anymore. There may have been a time when a persons word and actions reflected th4e same thing, but those days are long gone.
ReplyDeleteO Pechanga, you seem to only blame the Democrats. Believe me, the republicans probably will get more money out of them. The tribes have to keep both parties happy to get things through. The Dems can't push things through alone. Clinton has probably never even heard of your plight. You really dont know her opinion on it unless she is made aware and asked. It's a slippery slope,..the tribes want sovereign treatment, yet blame Politicians for their problems. Your horrible Leaders and your weak tribal members are squarely to blame for the terrible treatment you are getting. NOT, Hillary Clinton.

ReplyDeleteThe issue of disenrollment and the civil rights abuses that are occurring to disenrolled families are known to the members of congress at the state and federal level. Also the courts are aware of the issues that surround the legalities of disenrollment. Our family alone has spent great amounts of money fighting our case all the way to the supreme court only to be told that the court would not listen to the merits of our case because they did not want to legislate from the bench. We know that Pechanga has paid great sums of money to our legislators in Washington to look the other way and basically ignore us. We also know that the BIA is aware f the issue, yet they will not act unless they are directed to. I have written to the current leadership and to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee seeking relief and official inquiry into the actions of such tribes. Not once have I received a letter sating that there would be even a consideration. In short if you do not have money for lobbying you can not get access or action. Money equals access.
Hillary Clinton's Native Adviser, Holly Cook Macarro, would have had to have been vetted by staff.
ReplyDeleteShe's formerly worked for Hillary, so her business Ietan Consulting is also well known in Washington DC, including the client list.
You are right, both sides get money, but the Democrats get more, AND the Democrats are the proclaimed..PARTY of Civil Rights.
My experience with Washington DC, tells me that the Democrats are on board with Pechanga's water bill, and the GOP STOPPED it. And I get RESPONSES from the GOP side, and crickets from the DEMS side.
