BIA EMBARRASSMENT: Documents They COULDN"T FIND For FOIA response, FOUND FOR THEM

It would be humorous, if the BIA wasn't trying to HIDE some documents pertaining to the San Pasqual Dispute we've written about before.  The King of the Archives, Emilio Reyes, has exposed the BIA's incompetence in the San Pasqual issue time and again.

The BIA has allowed the descendents of WHITE PEOPLE with NO San Pasqual blood, to usurp TRUE San Pasqual descendents, who are NOW kept out of the tribe.

In your correspondence you state no records were found  (link is to SCRIBD). Due to the importance of these records, I have located the documents that pertain to my requests and providing you with a copy to hold in your repository. The original documents are in the possession of the National Archives located in Perris, California. I am requesting to print and/or save these records in your office and to forward these records to your American Indian Records Repository in Kansas.

Due to the ongoing disputes in the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, please also place a copy of the Wadsworth’s list of Mexican Indians under the files of San Pasqual as they relate to the La Chappa and Trask Family.

Since these historic documents will be helpful to other agencies within the Department of the Interior, I am copying in this email the Office of the Solicitor, The Office of the Assistant Secretary and the Office of Federal Acknowledgement.

Does anyone REALLY believe that our Government, it all it's offices, does NOT have this kind of information:
FOIA BIA-2016-00437 : “1924-1925 Data on enrollment of California Indians in the Wadsworth’s list of Mexican Indians in Campo, Capitan Grande, Manzanita, La Posta, Sycuan, and Mesa Grande [San Pasqual].

FOIA BIA -2016- 01504: “March 13, 1941 list of Ward Mission Indians who were born in Old Mexico by William Horace Veith, Field Aid of the Mission Indian Agency, and Education Field Agent, Harry W. Coonradt.

  1. We sent some FOIA's that had the same response: No documents were located by staff. We also found what we were looking for and sent it to the BIA. The Sacramento Regional Office is intentionally avoiding providing responsive documents. The common factor in these non-responsive responses is that they involve prior actions on the part of Regional Director Amy Dutschke.

The corruption is evident and has been proven multiple times. This corrupt bureaucrat continues to harm Indians. As we move forward there will be serious allegations with overwhelming proof. The RD appears to be committed to seeing it through to the end. There must be an awful lot at stake for the Amy Dutschke to consistently and obviously violate the FOIA Act.

  2. Off topic but interesting:

Casino Politics: Condit's Firm Is Lobbying For Tribe In Front Of Panel His Son-In-Law Chairs

A casino operator has hired former Rep. Gary Condit's firm to lobby the state Legislature at a time when the legislative panel overseeing gambling issues is chaired by Condit’s son-in-law.

Condit is a founder of BBC Public Affairs, which was hired Aug. 2 by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians in Temecula to lobby in Sacramento on “utility/energy” issues. The hire came just before Condit's son-in-law, Assemblyman Adam Gray (D-Merced), proposed changes to his bill legalizing Internet poker in California in a way that specifically addressed concerns by Pechanga.

A Pechanga spokesman said there is no relationship between the hiring of BBC and the tribe’s efforts to get Gray to change his bill.

On July 29, Pechanga announced the formation of the first tribally owned and operated wholesale electric utility located in the state of California.

BBC is “monitoring utilities issues for us and have nothing to do with I-poker,” said Jacob Mejia, a representative of Pechanga.

“This is the first we have heard of this,” said Trent Hager, Gray’s chief-of-staff.

Condit’s daughter, Cadee, is married to Gray. Condit lost a reelection bid to Congress in 2002 after the scandal over the disappearance and killing of federal intern Chandra Levy.

Condit and other BBC officials did not return calls for comment.

Kathay Feng, executive director of the watchdog group California Common Cause, suggested it's an optics problem.

“It still leaves the question, the public perception about whether a bill has been influenced by considerations other than just public policy,” Feng said.
